The blue lake

At the entrance to the Obersulzbachtal valley, the Blausee lake is nestled in a forest niche. The lake, which impresses with its blue-turquoise green colour, is surrounded by a picturesque forest of spruce, fir, larch and alder trees.

The small lake in the Hohe Tauern National Park was created around 100 years ago and is now used as a local recreation area. There are recreation areas, seating areas with tables, fire pits and toilets for visitors. Here you can relax in the middle of unspoilt nature and daydream - the Blausee is a place of energy!
